Earlier this spring, some of Mrs. Shay’s 8th grade Spanish students participated in the 2017 National Spanish Examination. The National Spanish Examination is an on-line test/contest that is given each year by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish & Portuguese. The purpose of the NSE is:
- To recognize achievement and to promote proficiency in the study of Spanish.
- To stimulate further interest in the teaching and learning of Spanish.
- To prepare students for the Spanish AP and SAT II
Judith Matteoni and Caroline Coughlin (top row) achieved a Gold Medal,
which means they scored above a 95%. Rosaline Althaus, Sofia Damasco,
Elizaveta Grande, Joanna Lumanas, Sophia Sabelja, and Alexa Cantreva
(bottow row) achieved a Silver Medal, which means they scored above an
85%. Congratulations! What a wonderful accomplishment.
